The Healing Roadmap
Feeling groggy from clinical sedation. Gauze packs are placed to establish stable clot lines. Initial swelling begins. Rest, apply ice packs, and take prescribed medications. You must have an adult companion drive you home.
Localized tissue swelling and minor jaw soreness peak around day 2. Consume soft liquids and cool food metrics only. Stay ahead of local discomfort loops with consistent, pre-scheduled medication blocks.
Swelling begins to systematically subside, and localized deep pain decreases significantly. Most patients comfortably return to standard desk work, academic classes, and normal light activity.
Micro-sutures dissolve safely or are smoothly removed at your brief follow-up check. Most individuals report completely normal comfort metrics, while the deep bone sockets finalize healing over 4–6 weeks.
Surgical Workflow
Advanced panoramic radiography evaluates your exact impaction angles, root depths, and lower alveolar nerve proximity parameters before scheduling care.
Custom IV deep conscious sedation or oral conscious tracks are deployed alongside standard local anesthetic blocks. Most patients retain little to no memory of the procedure.
A minor tissue incision is made if needed. Any overlapping bone is gently cleared, and the molar is safely lifted out, often sectioned into small pieces. All four sites can be treated in one visit.
Detailed, written aftercare rules and custom prescription schedules are provided. A brief follow-up is booked, and your companion drives you home to rest.
