Dr. Mark Brodhagen
Dr. Mark has served his patients and his community for nearly 50 years so far, bringing not only innovation but an undeniable level of kindness to the dental profession. What he values most about his time here in the dental office is the amazing relationships he’s built with patients, team members, and other local specialists – everyone wants to help create the best outcomes for people in need! Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Mark has known that he wanted to be a dentist ever since he got his first cavity filled at the age of eight. Since then, his passion for this field has only grown! He loves working for himself, being able to help patients so directly, and creating personalized treatment plans that fit each person’s wants and needs so well.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After studying at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, Dr. Mark pursued his dental doctorate at Marquette University in Milwaukee. He has also undergone advanced training in a number of topics to further expand his skillset over the decades, including oral conscious sedation single/full mouth dental implant restoration, same-day porcelain crowns and veneers, TMJ/TMD treatment, Invisalign, and sleep dentistry. He proudly served for 19 years as a dental consultant for Wisconsin Employers insurance and was previously on the Board of Directors for American Medical Security. Today, he is a proud member of the American Dental Association and Wisconsin Dental Association.
What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Mark has two daughters, three grandchildren, and a dog named Butter. Some of his favorite hobbies in his spare time include cooking, bike/trike riding, golfing, clay shooting, duck/pheasant hunting, inland fishing for walleye, and simply helping other people! In particular, he really enjoys cutting his neighbors’ grass with his riding lawn mower.
Dr. Mark Letter
We are excited to welcome Dr. Mark Letter back to our practice as a visiting practitioner! He will be providing the quality care you have become accustomed to here at our practice on a part-time basis and is looking forward to meeting everyone and even seeing some familiar faces!
Dr. Letter is a native of Brookfield, Wisconsin. After graduating from Brookfield East High School, he earned a degree in Psychology from Marquette University. He then spent the next three years employed with St. Mary’s Psychiatric Hospital as a Counselor of Adolescent Patients; working with patients ranging in age from six to eighteen. It was during this time at St. Mary’s that Dr. Letter chose to pursue a dental career and enrolled in the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He continued to work at St. Mary’s Hospital while attending dental school until he graduated in 1987. Upon dental school graduation, Dr. Letter began his dental career as an associate dentist right here at Brodhagen Dental Care while also working as a Clinical Instructor in a Hygiene Clinic.

In 1993, Dr. Letter relocated to Kewaunee and purchased a practice from Dr. Grady. Dr. Letter continues to operate his practice in Kewaunee, providing the best quality dental care possible. Dr. Letter believes in the importance of continuing education and remains active in organized dental associations and study groups. His affiliations include: WDA (Wisconsin Dental Association), ADA (American Dental Academy), and the local BDKDS (Brown Door Kewaunee Dental Society.)
Dr. Letter met his wife, Laura, during his early years as a dentist in Green Bay. He and Laura have four children and he enjoys volunteering & voting. He also spent 5 years as a Chairperson on a Board of Trustees for the Green Bay Diocese.
Dr. Alissa Edwards
Dr. Alissa Edwards grew up in Green Bay. Upon graduation from a local high school, she attended Marquette University for undergraduate studies and continued her education there, graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2010. Dr. Edwards has been successfully practicing dentistry within the state since graduation.
Dr. Edwards is an active member of the ADA (American Dental Association), WDA (Wisconsin Dental Association), Titletown Study Club, and the AGD (Academy of General Dentistry) She also volunteers within the Fox Valley at the Tri-County Dental Clinic.
Dr. Edwards strives to form relationships with her patients and exceed their needs and expectations. She is passionate about treating the whole person, especially with early intervention to set kids up for a lifetime of optimal dental and overall wellness. Her goal is to enhance her patients’ dental experiences with not only quality care and comfort, but also utilizing the most advanced dental technologies and materials available.

Dr. Edwards enjoys working with the energy and passion of her dental team. They are fun-loving and always have the patient’s comfort and care at the forefront of their minds. They all share the same vision of a compassionate dental experience.
Dr. Edwards resides in Appleton with her husband, three children, and their pet pugs. She enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and cooking. Her family also likes to stay busy maintaining the ever-increasing number of pets they bring home.

Julia – Office Manager
Graduating from Fox Valley Tech in 2013, Julia has the opportunity to work within many specialties in the field. She is excited to use her knowledge to continue to provide exceptional care for the community. Her number one goal is to always provide a memorable patient experience while helping you reach your smile goals. Monica Grube – Administration
Monica Grube is an invaluable member of the Bay Park Smiles dental team, where she has been providing exceptional dental assistant services for several years. Her dedication to patient care and her extensive knowledge of dental procedures make her an indispensable asset to the practice. Monica’s warm and friendly demeanor instantly puts patients at ease, helping them feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits.

Lindsey Mullen – Administration
My name is Lindsey and I love to be around and help other people. I have been in the customer service field for 7 years. I am a 26 year old momma to a 2.5 year old boy named Brantley. He is my pride and joy 🙂 We love to travel, be out doors and make memories with friends and family. I enjoy motorcycle rides and boating in the summer and hunting and snowmobiling in the winter months!

Barbara – Dental Hygienist & Department Team Leader
Barbara has been helping people achieve happy, healthy smiles for nearly four decades now, and she has spent the last three of them right here at our dental office! She completed her studies at the University of Eau Claire and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Since then, she has undergone additional training in root planing and scaling, local anesthetic, and soft tissue laser therapy.

Barbara has been married for nearly 40 years. Together, they have a daughter, son, and 9-year-old Golden Doodle. When she isn’t spending time with her family, she enjoys running and going on long walks.
Here’s an interesting fact about Barbara: there is a 14-year gap between her children!
Lisa – Dental Hygienist
Although Lisa may be relatively new to our team, she has an impressive 30+ years of experience under her belt! Since completing her studies at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, she has undergone a variety of continuing education classes to stay abreast of the latest techniques and technology.

When asked about her favorite part of her job, she shared that it is working with people.
Lisa and her husband have three kids together, Alex, Sydney, and Madison, who they are incredibly proud of. When they can, they enjoy spending time at the lake and going to their cottage!

Morgan – Dental Hygienist
Morgan was born in Marinette, Wisconsin. She spent her childhood growing up in both Wisconsin and Texas. After graduating from high school in Amarillo, TX, she attended and graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with her associate degree in Dental Hygiene.

She made the decision to enter hygiene in part because of her experience at the dental office that she was a patient at for years: they offered her a job as an assistant, and she learned she had a passion for this field. Morgan believes in encouraging her patients and always staying positive with them — she never scolds or blames. She loves educating her patients and tailoring their treatment plan to fit their needs and wants, and she also loves learning new practices and keeping up with the dental field as it changes. What she enjoys most about working at Bay Park Smiles is that the office feels like a family — both the staff and patients.
When she isn’t working, Morgan loves spending time with friends and family, especially her parents who still live in Marinette, as well as with her bulldog, Louie. She recently bought her first house and is excited to be learning how to remodel things herself.
Kaylee – Dental Hygienist
Kaylee was born in Coulterville, a town in the southern part of Illinois. After completing high school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Southern Illinois University. She wanted to become a hygienist because she loves seeing patients fully understand the importance of oral care. She is always focused on informing her patients as best she can, knowing that they can’t improve the care of their teeth if we don’t help to educate them.

In addition to her experience and skills with hygiene, Kaylee brings to our Bay Park team a great ability to create a comfortable and caring atmosphere, and she is very welcoming and excited to meet every new patient. What she enjoys most about working in our office is that everyone is so nice and willing to help at any time.
Kaylee is happily married and loves spending time at home with her husband and their cat named Mr. Kitty/Big Man. Her hobbies include doing crafts with her cricut machine and golfing. Fun fact: She has made two holes-in-one at her hometown golf course.

Yelena – Dental Assistant
Yelena was born in Kazakhstan and spent much of her childhood growing up in Sacramento, California. She’s one of five siblings, with three brothers and a sister. After graduating from high school, she went on to graduate from High-Tech Institute with her certification in Dental Assisting. She was drawn to the dental field because she loves helping people and knows that a beautiful and healthy smile brings confidence, and she loves being a part of that.

She brings to our Bay Park Smiles team years of experience, a hardworking attitude, and a great deal of experience with OSA and SureSmile. She loves to be a part of an office that delivers the highest quality care and patient experience.
Outside of the office, Yelena loves outdoor activities and off-roading. She also does a lot of missionary work, having traveled to other countries to volunteer at orphanages. She lived in Mexico for six months and Honduras for three months helping to start these orphanages and volunteering in donated dental work there. She’s currently planning on going to an African orphanage in the near future.
Estrella – Dental Assistant
Estrella is originally from Yuba City, California. After graduating from high school, she went on to earn her certification in Dental Assisting. What made her want to enter the dental field is her desire to help people. Since joining our team, she has made a positive impact through this helpful personality, her positive attitude, her ability to learn, and her dedication to teamwork. She always strives to make patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for.

The things she likes most about working at Bay Park Smiles is our great team that’s always helpful and joyful in the work we do.
When she isn’t helping patients, Estrella enjoys spending time with friends and family, including her two older brothers and her sister. Her favorite activities include playing tennis, going to baseball games, golfing, and camping. Fun fact: She loves making pasta alfredo.
Ksenya Kovpak – Dental Assistant
I was born in Kazakhstan, moved to America when I was six years old, I have 3 brothers and 1 sister .My hobbies are singing and playing the guitar . I also like to play sports.
Taylor – Dental Assistant
Our dental assistant Taylor was borned and raised in Green Bay. After graduating from Bay Port High School, she graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Dental Assistant program in December of 2016. What made her decide to enter the dental field is the extensive dental work that she’s had done, including three sets of braces, wisdom teeth removal, jaw tissue grafting, and two different jaw surgeries.

Being able to relate to patients has helped to keep her focus on patient comfort, understanding, and experience. In addition to her experience and focus on patient care, Taylor brings to our office specialization in pediatric dentistry, botox, orthodontics, and working in a hospital setting. She is also extremely organized and efficient. What she enjoys most about working at Bay Park Smiles is meeting new people, learning new things every day, and having the ability to take on roles like supply ordering.
When she isn’t helping our patients chairside, Taylor can often be found working out, hanging with friends and playing games, working on her house, spending time with family and friends on the boat at Longtail, and traveling. She is grateful for many great friends and family members who have always supported her. She was recently engaged in the summer of 2023. Fun fact: Taylor spent 2 weeks studying abroad in Guatemala for dental school, helping in their clinic and educating in their schools.
